Message of Hope and Unity

March 12, 2009

Dear Members & Community,

I write this brief message to you as a message of hope.  I am aware that we are living in a very difficult time economically.  Many people in our church and in our community have lost their jobs, lost health benefits, and some have even lost their houses through foreclosures. (Notice I said lost their houses and not their homes.  Homes are not a building but a relationship and they are never lost through buildings ceasing but when love ceases).

As your pastor, I want you to know that we are going to get through this crisis.  We walk by faith and not by sight (II Corinthians 5:7).  I want you to know that through prayer, mutual support and affirmation we will get through these times.

Please know that your church family is praying without ceasing for you, your family, our president Barack Obama and our nation.  Please join us in prayer as a church family on Wednesdays at 7pm, Thursdays at 6am, or Saturdays at 7am.
